Although shining the spotlight on weight loss comes first, we all link diabetes with sugar. Sugar is everywhere: we may not always realise how much sugar there is in some of the common foods we eat. The sugar traffic light labels on food packages does not count the full carbohydrate content – and carbs are hidden sugars. Here are some tables which explain this:
